Could Sony’s new console code named ‘Neo’ be set for a 2016 launch date?
According to Eurogamer’s Richard Leadbitter, it looks as though Sony could release their new device before their rivals at Microsoft’s ‘Project Scorpio’ claiming that “Several sources have indicated” that this information is in fact true.
“If that is the case, it’ll be interesting to see how developers utilize its resources, and whether 4K really is the focus. And we can be equally as sure that Microsoft will be watching just as intently as it gears up for its own next-gen roll-out,” said Leadbitter.
Microsoft claim that their new console, slated for a 2017 release, will be the “most powerful console ever made”.
Sources indicate that both the ‘Neo’ and ‘Project Scorpio’ will be fully compatible with PS4 and Xbox One games respectively.
