NES to return to stores with Classic Edition

Nintendo made a shocking announcement on July 14th by revealing the NES Classic Edition.

The mini version of the NES will include 30 games installed on the device and will cost $60. A simple plug-in to your TV and play console, you will be able to suspend play and pick it back up again when you’re ready.

You will also receive a controller based on the original NES version, while the option to purchase another one at $10 is also there if you need it. Additionally, Classic Controller and Classic Controller Pro controllers can be used.

Another exciting piece of news, is that the NES Classic Edition controller is compatible with the Nintendo Wii and Wii U’s virtual console titles.

Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo of America president, is looking forward to giving fans the nostalgic feeling with the NES Classic Edition, “We wanted to give fans of all ages the opportunity to revisit Nintendo’s original system and rediscover why they fell in love with Nintendo in the first place,”
