Destiny 2 still planned for 2017 release

The sequel to Destiny is still planned for a 2017 release, after Activision confirmed the news in a presentation.

According to Activision the next game in the Destiny series will be a “full Destiny sequel in 2017 to broaden the franchise’s global reach, which along with follow-on content plans, sets the stage for growth.”

Plans for Destiny 2 were announced back in the early months of 2016 and Eric Hirshberg (Activision Publishing CEO) has since confirmed that “development is going great, and it is indeed on track for release this fall” and that the game will provide a “great cinematic story.”

Rumour also has it that Destiny 2 may be heading to PC alongside console gaming platforms.
